You'll Know
   It Was GOD!

Something is about to happen that is so extraordinary, so big, so beyond human ability that you will know it was God.  That’s how He wants you to see Him.  You don’t have to search hard to find the workings of God.  You can see them in your life when you really believe He is great and so mighty that He is greater than any challenge or need or dream you have.  When you have faith that your God is greater than all of it, then He will be.

 What Has
     God
  Planned
  for You?
 

   You know how we hear the verse in Jeremiah 29:11 quoted that says, For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.  Notice it says plans for your welfare!

   He’s talking about tremendous blessings and peace and joy.  He’s referring to your entire welfare.  Welfare is your wholeness and wellness, your happiness and safety.  Your accomplishment and fulfillment.

   But isn’t it interesting that God had to put a clarification in there.  He didn’t just say, “My thoughts and plans are for your welfare.”  He also said they are not for evil.  Why did God have to say that?  Because the devil tries to convince us that God isn’t interested when bad or evil things happen to us.  That He isn’t concerned or that He isn’t willing to help us in those times.

   The devil will even go so far as to try to get us to think the bad things came from God.  They are some kind of punishment or testing.  Because I am in ministry, I hear how people believe that God is punishing them or testing them by causing bad things to come into their life.

   I’ve never known a God who is like that.  My God stays true to His Word.  He cares about our welfare.  His whole thinking about us, all of His thoughts, all of His plans for us, those are for welfare, not for evil.

   Why does He tell us that?  So that we’ll have hope.  We will have hope that in spite of the bad things that have come to us, our final outcome will be good.  So His thoughts and plans are for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.  Hey, let’s take the whole Bible, the whole meaning of that verse, and understand who our God is and what He can do and is willing to perform in our life.

   I love how I saw Him do this for a dear friend of ours.  Her husband had divorced her and she had two children.  But she was a hard worker and was so faithful to God.

   Even in the midst of everything,  she believed for sure God would take care of her.  She had to rely on Him.  So each time she had a need, she would get in touch and have us pray for her.  She believed God would respond.  You see, she didn’t worry that her life hadn’t gone in a perfect way, that her marriage had broken up and her family was in need.  She didn’t think God would deny something to her because of that.

   Her needs were varied.  They were emotional because of the marriage disappointment, and they were financial and also legal.  She also had medical issues.  But she believed God was big enough to handle all of it.  She didn’t choose one or two needs and think that was enough to request.  We came into prayer with her and just gave the whole list to God.

   Give your whole list to God.  If you believe that He is a big God and powerful and is for your welfare, then you won’t have an issue in giving Him ALL of your requests.  You know what your God can do and that He will perform it.

   Just hear what He did for this woman because in spite of the events that happened, she was trying to walk before Him in the right way.  When she requested prayer and believed that He desired her welfare, here’s what she received.

   She was delivered from depression.  There was so much peace in her life and on her face that people recognized it.  They even made comments about how she didn’t appear that way in the past.  Well, that’s something!  If she can be experiencing hardship and disappointment and hurt and still come out of that depression and feel so good that people can see it on her face, that’s something!

   Then she faced a court claim that was filed against her.  But when she went to court it was decided in her favor.  She also had six months of medical bills that had to be paid and over time God paid all of them.

   Also, she qualified for a new home.  A single mother and she is in a new home.  Hello!  That is impossible, right?  To have a divorce and have everything taken from you and be hurting and down and in need and then all the sudden be raised up, have peace and joy, look forward to your future, have favor in the court, and medical bills paid, and be in a new home.  That doesn’t happen…unless it is God.

   When He moves and shows you the welfare He has for you, you know it is God.  Believe that He is for your welfare.  That is what He has planned for you!

Here is a powerful prayer to say out loud:
Father, You are generous and caring and compassionate.  You have great plans for my welfare.  So I walk into those plans now by my faith, in the name of Jesus.  I’m expecting great things!  Amen.
